WHAT WE DID

Stanford University, Anderson Collection showcases over $500 million of modern and post-modern artwork

Designed and constructed a new 30,000 square foot LEED Gold equivalent museum, which houses over $500 million of modern and post-modern artwork. The collection was donated by the Harry W. and Mary Margaret Anderson and Mary Patricia Anderson Pence family. The Anderson Collection showcases artwork by notable artists, including Wayne Thiebaud, Richard Diebenkorn, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko, Robert Arneson, and Jackson Pollack.

Features:

  • Exhibition spaces below an undulating ceiling.
  • A grand central staircase, extending the gallery walls.
  • An open, one-room gallery layout.
