WHAT WE DID

Seismically strengthened and expanded the 42-year-old existing, original two-story reinforced concrete building, using ASCE-41.

Seismically strengthened and expanded the 42-year-old existing, original two-story reinforced concrete building, using ASCE-41. Also, designed a two-story, 11,000 square-foot steel frame and concrete shear wall east wing addition. The expansion and seismic retrofit of the center earned the campus its first LEED (Leaderships and Environmental Energy Development) “Gold” certification. The health center project received a merit award in the sustainable design category by the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC). The health center was also named the San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2011 Green Project of the Year.
