UC Santa Cruz, Merrill College Cultural Center Improvements with Renovations to Crown Dining Commons

WHAT WE DID

Designed the renovation of UCSC's Merrill Cultural Center and a portion of the Crown Dining Commons buildings. 

Designed the renovation of the Merrill Cultural Center and a portion of the Crown Dining Commons buildings. These structures were built in the late 1960s. A seismic evaluation was performed using ASCE 41-13. Renovation work included finish upgrades, seismic retrofit, interior reconfiguration, and accessibility upgrades. The dining commons maintenance work also included an interior renovation for a cafe retail area.  Work included modifications to kitchen at the dining commons and the performance stage of the cultural center.
