WHAT WE DID

Advanced Performance based Seismic Analysis of Evans Hall

Degenkolb performed an advanced, performance-based seismic analysis of Evans Hall, a 10-story, concrete shear wall building constructed in 1971 with a two-story basement. This work was conducted as part of Degenkolb’s campus-wide evaluation of buildings for UCOP Seismic Policy compliance. The evaluation was performed using ASCE-41 Tier 3 guidelines. The non-linear analysis provided more detail needed to estimate strengthening costs compared to replacement options under the UC Seismic Policy Criteria.

I love spending time outside – hiking, running, climbing, anything! Before beginning my career as an engineer, I was a trip leader for multi-day sea kayak expeditions for teens in the San Juan Islands.
